WHO ARE WE?

Bir Music Festival is a celebration of the mountains, for the mountains! We are India's largest mountain music festival rooted in the Bir village of Kangra District in Himachal Pradesh. A festival where you live and experience a life of mountains and celebrate with us the spirit of mountains. From cultural celebrations to healings, yoga and dance: all forms of art and undiscovered music is celebrated here for non-stop 2 days.

The festival is a platform to emerging indie musicians and is the only big source of tourism and marketing for Bir villages.

Initiated in the pandemic, the festival has been a revenue generator for the villages. So, this season, if you buy a package with us, be proud as you will have given 70% if that money to the village directly.

SEASON 14 (19-20 JUNE)

The 14th season of Bir Music Festival will be celebrated on 19 & 20 June, 2026.

So if you wish to explore a festival and not a concert then join us. We are a residential festival and thus over 1000 people will live in Bir village and celebrate the festival with us.

At Bir Music Festival, mountains, art, music and culture is celebrated so 48 hours will have a mix of these.

But, there will be no Bollywood music, no DJ, pure live performances by bands and artists along with cultural performances by local tribes, local food, Tibetan culture interfaces and adventure.

We are Rainbow festival so, LGBTQ++, all age people, all pets and all people are heartily welcome!

Festival

We are no corporate. Bir Music Festival is a community run festival.

Founded by Alakhananda Sharma, the festival is run by volunteers who join us every season for 2-3 months and curate this magic.

We are a bootstrap festival, run only with the funds generated from packages and collaborations. You can join us as a team member, a brand or an attendee to celebrate the festival.

There are no passes to the festival, no day entries or tickets. We only operate from our website.
